THE SIGNWRITER / Heavy Texture Workwear Jacket
The Signwriter jacket has a relaxed feel and is made from a beautiful hand woven organic texture from a mill in Kerala. The irregularities in the weave are all part of the charm of this fabric. This style is garment washed for and finished with hand stitched fastening snaps. This jacket features patch pockets and the sleeves are designed so the cuffs can be rolled up.

We also offer the detailing of The Signwriter in other fabrics and styles. This heavy textured fabric is also available in our The Signwriter waistcoat which is a great layering piece.
Our Fastenings
We do not use zips in our collection. Components such as plastic teeth are often derived from non-renewable resources and can be difficult to recycle. We prefer to use more sustainable fasteners such as buttons and our fabric covered poppers.
We make and apply each popper by hand prior to dyeing to achieve a perfect colour match and because the poppers are applied by hand they are extremely robust.
Re-Dye Service
As all our pieces are garment dyed in small batches in-house, we are able to offer our customers a “re-dye” service on our cotton-based items. For a processing fee we will either re-dye your garment in the original colour if it has started to feel jaded or stained, or if it is a light colour, we can over-dye to an alternative colour if you fancy a change. For this service you will need to either bring it into store or cover postage.
