Introduction To Quilting / 14th October 2025 / 10.30am (3hrs)

During this three hour group workshop we will explore a no rules approach to get you started on your quilting journey
We will also look at the history of this craft which has stood the test of time and how it is still as relevant today for making usable practical items as well as beautiful pieces of textile art
You will leave the workshop with a small sample quilt which can be mounted into artwork or as a start of a bigger quilt as you continue to explore this wonderful practice, you will also leave with the skills to create many more quilts in the future.
Materials are included but please feel free to bring along any fabric scraps that will make your piece personal to you (lightweight cottons work best , stretch fabrics are to be avoided).
This workshop is suitable for all abilities including complete beginners in a relaxed and informal setting. (16+ under 18’s will require to attend with a participating adult).
On The Day
A complimentary plant based Tea or Coffee and snacks will be provided from our in-house Coffee Bar and you will be able to purchase any additional drinks on the day.This Workshop will take place at our Rye Store. Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins.
