We have adopted a zero waste approach to the materials we use and we are always looking for inventive ways to re use scraps, to print for business cards, price labels and patchworks that can be used in garments and home furnishing, also toys and novelties. Our patchwork and toy making classes are an opportunity to share this process with us, whilst meeting new people and also utilising scraps and discarded items you may have acquired in your own house to reinvent and create objects to treasure for the future.
We hand dye our drill collection in our Margate Studio and due to the nature of the hand dyed process colours may vary or appear uneven and each fabric can react different to the dye. We feel this organic look is part of the unique appeal of a garment dyed finish. Here is some examples of how this colour translates across different fabrics in our collection.
