THE BRUSHMAKER / Heavy Texture Coat
The Brushmaker Coat is made from hand woven, organic cotton with a heavy texture. It is blocked, so double layered and a heavier weight than The Brushmaker Trench Coat. Details & Styling
Our collection is designed to be timeless and effortlessly versatile.
THE BRUSHMAKER / Heavy Texture Washed Coat
The Brushmaker coat is also available washed. Made with handwoven, organic cotton with a heavy texture. It is double layered with a heavier weight. There is a deep facing on the sleeves so they can be rolled back or kept long. It has a convertible collar and hand stitched snaps.
Our Fastenings
We do not use zips in our collection. Components such as plastic teeth are often derived from non-renewable resources and can be difficult to recycle. We prefer to use more sustainable fasteners such as buttons and our fabric covered poppers.
We make and apply each popper by hand prior to dyeing to achieve a perfect colour match and because the poppers are applied by hand they are extremely robust.
Our Process
Our collection is designed to be "season-less", meaning any piece of our collection can be worn all year round and will last you a lifetime and we passionately believe that clothes retain their value and beauty for years so long as they are carefully maintained. The focus for Les Animaux as a brand is to produce sustainable and conscious production so that in our small way we are tackling the global glut of discarded fast fashion. We are totally transparent in our production (we literally have an open curtain policy between the shop and the studio) we hope that you can trust that we are doing everything we can to uphold the highest ethical standards.
Repair Service
By eschewing seasons and trends, our whole aim is to deliver you a garment that will last. For us, sustainability is about buying pieces that you will wear for a very long time and, in order to achieve this, we are happy to offer free repairs on garments when the damage is caused by wear and tear. Either bring the item to the store or contact us via the link below, and we can get you on your way.
